Lead Generation Services

Lead generation that brings you BUYERS, NOT BROWSERS.

We build the system that turns strangers into booked calls and paying customers: the offer, the ads, the form that asks the right questions, and replies in minutes, not days. For businesses in Nigeria, across Africa, the UK and the US.

  1. The ad: a buyer sees your offer while scrolling.
  2. The form: three quick questions, no long form.
  3. The score: every lead is scored before anyone calls.
  4. The alert: your sales phone buzzes in under a minute.
  5. The reply: you answer in 2 minutes, not tomorrow.
  6. The booking: a visit or call is booked, with a reminder.
  7. The sale: the lead becomes a paying customer.
  8. The loop: buyers teach the ads who to find next.

Real result: ₦41.30 per lead, 474 leads in 5 days for Arya Marketplace, July 2026. The story above is an example, not a real client.

More leads is easy. More customers is the work.

This page is our complete guide to lead generation for businesses in Nigeria, the UK and the US, and the page where we sell our lead generation services. Before channels and budgets, one question decides everything: what happens in the first five minutes after someone says “I’m interested”? Hold that thought, then jump to what you came for.

01 · The real problem

Why your leads are not turning into customers

You paid for the ads. The form filled up. Your team called a few, got no answer, sent a WhatsApp to some, and moved on to the day’s work. A week later someone asks, “Did those leads work?” Nobody really knows. That money could have paid a salary, and you are left thinking lead generation is a scam. It is not. But most of the leads you lose are lost after the ad did its job.

Two studies, two companies, and a test you can run today

In 2011, three researchers did something simple. They sent a web enquiry to 2,241 US companies and timed the reply. 37% answered within an hour. 24% took more than a day. 23% never answered at all. The firms that did reply took 42 hours on average, according to the study published in Harvard Business Review and reported by SmartCompany.

Four years earlier, MIT’s James Oldroyd and InsideSales.com had studied more than 15,000 web leads and 100,000 call attempts. The odds of reaching a lead were 100 times lower when the first call came after 30 minutes instead of 5, and the odds of qualifying them 21 times lower.

Old numbers, from American companies. But anyone who has run lead ads in Lagos or Abuja knows the feeling. The person who filled your form at 9pm messaged two other businesses at 9.05pm, and one of them answered.

Rosebank College in South Africa found its paper lead cards could sit uncaptured for weeks, so it moved to real-time capture and one queue that shows who still needs a reply. A Mexican property developer went the other way round: it raised its ad budget only after instant WhatsApp replies were working, and its monthly viewings rose six times. Both stories are further down.

That is the gap we find when businesses come to us after lead generation “did not work”. The ad was fine. The form was the quickest instant form with no questions. The leads went into a spreadsheet nobody owned, the callbacks happened tomorrow, and the answer was always more budget to buy more of the same.

So try this today. From another phone, send your business WhatsApp the kind of message a new lead would send. Then time how long your team takes to answer. The free reply test in section 05 times it for you.

The before-you-spend test
  1. 1Does every new lead ping a phone within a minute?
  2. 2Does someone answer within 5 minutes in working hours?
  3. 3Does your form ask who is a real buyer?
  4. 4Can you see which ad brought each paying customer?

This is where lead generation is won. Someone answering in minutes, not tomorrow.

Four mistakes that waste lead generation budgets

These are the problems we find most often when we audit a business that is paying for leads and not getting customers.

Mistake 01

Buying the cheapest leads

An instant form with no questions fills up fast and closes slowly. US Facebook lead campaigns cost $27.66 a lead in 2025, but their conversion rate fell from 8.67% to 7.72%, says WordStream. Cheap is not the same as good.

Fix: judge cost per customer
Mistake 02

Forms that ask too little, or too much

In NP Digital’s study of 404 landing pages, one-field forms converted at 18.2% and forms with nine or more fields at 4.2%. Too short brings junk. Too long brings nobody.

Fix: 3 to 5 questions that matter
Mistake 03

Nobody owns the reply

Leads land in an email inbox or a spreadsheet, everybody thinks somebody else called, and the hottest leads wait the longest.

Fix: alerts, an owner and a 5-minute rule
Mistake 04

No line from lead to sale

If you cannot see which ad, keyword or page brought the people who paid, the budget follows the cheapest leads instead of the best ones.

Fix: track every lead to its source

Leads are interest. Replies are respect. Only customers pay the bills.

That is why Greenlearners Technologies runs lead generation as one system: an offer worth leaving details for, the right channel for your buyer, a form or chat that asks the right questions, someone answering in minutes, and tracking that shows which leads became customers. Sometimes the answer is one WhatsApp ad and a faster reply. Sometimes it is four channels and a CRM. The aim is never more leads. It is more customers, at a cost you can live with. The free tools further down show how we plan it.

02 · Pricing

Lead generation pricing: four ways to work with us

Clear lead generation prices, in writing, before you pay anything. We do not charge per lead, because per-lead pricing rewards junk. You pay for the system that brings and qualifies leads, and your ad budget goes to the platforms from your own card. Pick your currency, then pick how much of the work you want done for you.

Show prices in
Naira prices are our Nigerian price list, for businesses in Nigeria and the rest of Africa. Dollar, pound and euro prices are for businesses outside Africa, including Africans in the diaspora selling back home and businesses coming into Africa. Each market has its own price list; they are not currency conversions of each other. Your ad budget is paid to the platforms separately, from your own card, and is never marked up. Monthly plans run 30 days from launch. CRM subscriptions, paid tools, filming days and extra pages outside your plan are quoted before the work, never slipped into the bill.

Where your money goes

Your ad budget goes to the platforms. Our fee pays for the system that turns clicks into customers.

Meta, Google, TikTok and LinkedIn all sell ads through an auction, so the price of a lead moves with your offer, your audience, your season and your ads. Each platform has its own minimum daily budget, and a lead campaign needs enough budget to bring results every week, or the platform cannot learn who your buyers are. That is why we suggest a monthly ad budget from ₦500,000$1,000£800€900 for our monthly plans, and we will tell you honestly if your numbers say SEO or WhatsApp should come first instead.

How we count what is in each plan

A price only means something when you know what counts. This is ours, in writing.

Our fee and your ad budget

Two separate payments. Your ad budget goes to Meta, Google, TikTok or LinkedIn, from your own card, in ad accounts in your name. Our fee is for the work, paid to us. We never mark up your spend, we never charge per lead, and you see both every week.

Why we do not charge per lead

Pay-per-lead pricing pays the agency for volume, so it rewards cheap, junk leads. We would rather be paid to make your leads better. Every plan reports cost per lead, cost per qualified lead and cost per customer, and the last two are the ones we work to lower.

The 20% rule

You pay the flat monthly fee until 20% of your ad spend is bigger. On Grow Every Week with ₦2,000,000$4,000£3,200€3,600 of spend, 20% is ₦400,000$800£640€720, so you pay the flat ₦600,000$1,200£960€1,080. On ₦5,000,000$10,000£8,000€9,000, 20% is ₦1,000,000$2,000£1,600€1,800, so you pay that. The percentage replaces the flat fee; it is never added on top.

A lead

A person who left their details or started a conversation through one of our ads, pages or forms: a form, a WhatsApp chat, a call or a booking. We remove spam, duplicates, test entries and wrong numbers before we count.

A qualified lead

A lead who fits the buyer you defined with us, answered the qualifying questions the right way and could be reached by your team. Your team marks them, not us, so the number is honest.

A month

Thirty days from the day your campaign goes live, not the calendar month, so a mid-month start does not cost you days. Cancel with 14 days notice. Your ad accounts, pages, lists, CRM and data stay yours.

Pay in naira, dollars, pounds or euros by card or bank transfer. No long contract: monthly plans stop with 14 days notice. Not sure which plan fits? Use the free lead budget planner further down, or message us and we will tell you honestly, even if the answer is the smaller one. Want lead generation inside a bigger plan, with SEO, social media and content? See our growth plans and pricing, or the ad prices for Meta ads, Google ads and TikTok advertising.

03 · The basics

What is lead generation, and how does it actually work?

Lead generation is getting the right people to raise their hand and say “I might buy from you”, by leaving a phone number, an email, a WhatsApp message or a booking, so your team can turn that interest into a sale. A lead is not a customer yet. It is permission to start a conversation, and the whole craft is getting more of the right ones, then not wasting them.

B2C

Lead generation for consumers

Clinics, schools, property, car dealers, events and home services. Decisions are faster and emotional, leads come in volume, and speed of reply wins. WhatsApp and Meta usually do the heavy lifting.

Volume and speed
B2B

B2B lead generation

Suppliers, SaaS, logistics, finance and professional firms. Fewer leads, bigger deals, several people deciding and weeks or months to close. Search, LinkedIn, content and email nurture matter more.

Fit and patience
Diaspora

Leads from abroad, buying home

Nigerians in the UK, US and Canada buying land, school places, healthcare or gifts for family back home. They need more proof and more trust, and they reply on WhatsApp across time zones.

Trust across borders

Inbound or outbound: you probably need both

Inbound lead generation brings people to you: search, ads, content and referrals. They chose you, so they are warmer. Outbound lead generation is you going to them: cold email, calls and LinkedIn messages. It is faster to start for B2B, but only lawful when you follow the rules for that country, which we cover in section 09.

Lead generation channels, rated honestly

Our own ratings from running campaigns since 2019, out of five, for a typical small or mid-sized business. Your numbers will differ, which is why every plan starts with a test, not a promise.

04 · Lead generation cost

How much does lead generation cost? What a lead costs, and what agencies charge

Nobody can honestly tell you what your leads will cost before you test. Every ad platform sells through an auction, so the price moves with your offer, your audience, your season and your ads. What we can show you are the best published benchmarks, what agencies charge around the world, and a planner that works out what you can afford to pay.

06 · Lead quality

How to get qualified leads, not just more form fills

Ask any sales team what is wrong with their leads and you will hear the same three things: wrong numbers, people who never asked to be called, and people with no budget. Cheap leads are easy to buy. Qualified leads are built, one question and one filter at a time.

Stage 01

A lead

Someone left their details or started a chat. They might be a buyer, a student doing research, a competitor or a bot. Nothing is known yet.

Count it, do not trust it
Stage 02

A marketing qualified lead

They fit your buyer on paper: the right location, the right need, a budget in range, and they answered your questions in a way that says they mean it. Marketers call this an MQL.

Worth a fast call
Stage 03

A sales qualified lead

Your team spoke to them and confirmed it: they want it, they can pay, they can decide, and they want it soon. This is an SQL, and it is the number we work to grow.

Worth your best closer

Five questions that sort buyers from browsers

Every extra question on a form costs you some leads. The right question costs you only the wrong ones. These are the questions we start from, then cut to the three or four that matter most for your business.

  1. What do you need? A choice, not a blank box, so the answer is easy to score.
  2. When do you want to start? This month, in three months, just looking. Timing is the best single filter we know.
  3. What budget are you working with? Ranges, never an exact number, so people answer honestly.
  4. Where are you? Area, city or country, so you never pay for a lead you cannot serve.
  5. Who decides? For B2B and big purchases: are they the buyer, or will someone else sign?

How we keep junk out of your pipeline

Filter 01

Forms that ask for effort

Instant forms are fast, which also makes them easy to fill by accident. When junk runs high, we switch to higher intent forms with a review step and a question people must think about.

Fewer, better leads
Filter 02

Numbers checked fast

A quick WhatsApp message or call within minutes confirms the number is real and the person remembers asking. Wrong numbers come out of the report.

Real people only
Filter 03

Bots and spam blocked

Hidden fields, spam checks and duplicate checks on every website form, so your team never wastes a morning on fake entries.

Clean data
Filter 04

Targeting by who buys

We build audiences from your real customers, not guesses, and exclude people already in your CRM, so you only pay to reach people you do not have.

Pay for new buyers
Filter 05

Sales fed back to the ads

When your team marks a lead as qualified or won, that signal goes back to Meta and Google, so the ads learn to bring more of those people and fewer of the rest.

The ads learn your buyer
Filter 06

Judged by cost per customer

We move budget to the ad that brings customers, even when another ad brings cheaper leads. The cheapest lead is rarely the cheapest customer.

The number that pays
07 · Lead generation examples

Eight real lead generation campaigns, and the lesson each one teaches

Africa first, then the rest of the world: chat, B2B, property, finance and manufacturing. Every number comes from the case study linked on the card, and all of them were published by the platform or tool that sold the service, so read them as wins, not typical results. You will not copy the number. You can borrow the move.

NIVEA #MyCocoaShade

WhatsApp chatbotConsumer goods

For its cocoa body lotion, NIVEA invited people to send a photo on WhatsApp and get back an image styled to their skin shade. QR codes at shop tills, posters, billboards and influencers pushed people into the chat, and the bot asked for consent before using anything.

2,772new consumer profiles, at 207% of the reach target

The lesson: Give people a fun reason to start a chat, and collect consent inside the conversation. A QR code at the till can feed your lead list.

Try it here: Put a WhatsApp QR code on your counter, packaging and flyers, with a small reward for messaging you.

Infobip case study

Rentokil Initial

B2B inboundHubSpot

The hygiene and pest control company built buyer personas, useful content, landing pages and personalised follow-up emails with its partner, tracked everything on dashboards, and changed its messages fast when COVID-19 hit.

+76%leads and sales in the first eight months

The lesson: Inbound ROI reached 310% in eight months, then 671% marketing ROI the next year. B2B service leads respond to a system, not one-off campaigns.

Try it here: For B2B services in Lagos or Abuja: one buyer, one useful guide, one landing page and a follow-up sequence, before any ads.

HubSpot case study

Mukuru

WhatsApp sign-upFintech

The remittance company moved sign-up into a WhatsApp chatbot in 10 languages, and collected WhatsApp opt-ins on its Facebook page, during sign-up and on service calls.

17 to 2steps to sign up, and drop-off halved in Botswana

The lesson: Every step you remove keeps more leads. People will sign up inside a chat if the chat does the work.

Try it here: Count the steps between your ad and a booked call or a paid order. Cut them to three or fewer.

Infobip case study

Lomas de Angelópolis

Click-to-WhatsAppReal estate

The property developer ran ads that open WhatsApp and added Meta’s Business Agent to reply instantly, even after hours, with lot prices, answers and viewing bookings. They raised the ad budget only once instant replies worked.

6xmonthly appointments, and a 33% shorter sales cycle

The lesson: Fix the reply first, then spend more. Fast answers turned chats into site visits.

Try it here: Lagos and Abuja estates selling to the diaspora: have prices, photos and viewing slots ready to send before you run a single ad.

WhatsApp Business case study

Prima AFP

Click-to-WhatsAppPensions

With its agency, the pension fund sent ad clicks into an automated WhatsApp conversation that qualified each lead, then passed only the most promising to its team, and used marketing messages to bring quiet leads back.

18%lower cost per lead than its usual Feed, Reels and Stories ads

The lesson: Let the chat ask the first questions, so your salespeople only call serious leads.

Try it here: Insurance, pensions and loans: ask two or three qualifying questions in the WhatsApp chat before a person calls.

WhatsApp Business case study

Payhawk

LinkedInB2B fintech

The spend management company stopped showing “book a demo” ads to strangers. It warmed people up with useful content first, its best was a CFO’s guide to remote working, then asked the warm audience to convert.

85%below its industry’s benchmark cost per lead

The lesson: “Lead quality matters more than lead quantity,” said its head of growth. Do not ask strangers for a meeting; earn it.

Try it here: Selling to finance directors or HR heads? Offer a genuinely useful guide first, then a call.

LinkedIn case study

HDFC Life

LinkedInInsurance

Leads from display ads were hard to validate, so the insurer moved to LinkedIn: retargeting people who engaged with its content and finding lookalikes, with messages about financial and job stability.

175%rise in lead validity, at a cost per lead only marginally higher

The lesson: A slightly dearer lead can be the cheaper one once you count only the leads that are real.

Try it here: Judge your channels by cost per qualified lead, not cost per form. The cheapest source is often the worst.

LinkedIn case study

Cold Jet

CRM and follow-upManufacturing

The industrial equipment maker replaced a CRM with no mobile app, added automatic outreach sequences, a quoting tool and dashboards, and trained teams in ten languages.

66%faster first contact, from 3 hours to under an hour

The lesson: Its sequences reached 17,219 contacts and booked 216 meetings. The CRM and follow-up are part of lead generation, not an extra.

Try it here: Put every lead in one place with an owner and a due time. A spreadsheet nobody checks is not a CRM.

We looked hard for a Nigerian click-to-WhatsApp case study with published numbers and found none we could verify, which is why our own results sit in section 10 with the dates and dashboards behind them.

08 · The Lead System

How Greenlearners Technologies runs your lead generation

Most lead generation companies sell you one piece: the ads, or the page, or a list. Then the leads land in an inbox nobody watches. Our lead generation services run the whole loop, six steps that feed each other, and every step is measured against one question: did it bring a customer?

Step 01

Attract the right people

Ads on the platform where your buyers already are, with an offer worth leaving details for: a quote, a site visit, a demo, a checklist. Search for people looking now, social for people who do not know they need you yet.

Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, SEO
Step 02

Capture the lead

A landing page that loads fast on a phone, an instant form, or a WhatsApp chat that opens with a ready message. One clear next step, never five. Built with our conversion rate optimisation team.

Pages, forms, WhatsApp, calls
Step 03

Qualify before you call

Three to five questions that sort buyers from browsers: budget, timing, location, need. A score on every lead, so your best salesperson calls the best leads first.

Questions, scoring, junk filters
Step 04

Follow up in minutes

An alert to the right phone, a reply in minutes, then 3 to 5 tries over WhatsApp, calls and email. Leads who are not ready get a monthly email instead of a forgotten spreadsheet. See our marketing automation.

Alerts, scripts, sequences
Step 05

Help your team close

Booking links, reminders that cut no-shows, and a sales script built from the questions real leads ask. Every lead moves through clear stages in your CRM: new, reached, qualified, booked, won.

CRM, booking, scripts
Step 06

Measure, then feed it back

Which ad, keyword and page brought the leads who actually paid. Those sales go back to Meta and Google as offline conversions, so the ads learn to find more people like your buyers. See our analytics and tracking.

Back to step 01, smarter

A lead is a promise. A reply keeps it. A customer pays for it.

09 · The rules

Lead generation rules in Nigeria, the UK and the US, in plain words

Most lead generation pages say “we are GDPR compliant” and stop there. That does not help you. These are the rules that decide whether you may message a lead at all, checked in October 2026, with the source beside each one. General information, not legal advice.

NigeriaNDPA 2023 · GAID 2025

The Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 makes consent one lawful basis for using personal data, and the business must prove the consent. The NDPC’s GAID 2025, in force since 19 September 2025, requires consent for direct marketing, consent records, and an easy way to withdraw. Foreign businesses targeting Nigerians can be covered too.

On 11 June 2026 the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered GTCO to stop unsolicited marketing to a man who was not its customer, and to say where it got his details. Bought and scraped lists are now a real legal risk in Nigeria.

We add a consent line, a privacy link and a consent record to every form and WhatsApp opt-in.

United KingdomUK GDPR · PECR

Under the ICO’s PECR guidance, marketing emails, texts and social media direct messages to consumers and sole traders need specific consent. The soft opt-in covers existing customers who bought something similar and were offered an opt-out. It never covers prospects or bought-in lists.

You may email companies without consent if you say who you are and give a working opt-out. The Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 raised the top PECR fine from £500,000 to £17.5 million or 4% of global turnover, with most of the Act in force from 5 February 2026.

Consumer forms get an unticked opt-in box. B2B lists are checked against a do-not-email list.

United StatesCAN-SPAM · TCPA

CAN-SPAM allows marketing email without prior consent, but needs honest headers and subject lines, an ad disclosure, a postal address and an opt-out honoured within 10 business days. It makes no exception for B2B email, and fines run up to $53,088 per email.

Autodialled or prerecorded calls and texts need prior express written consent. The FCC’s stricter one-to-one consent rule was struck down on 24 January 2025, and people can revoke consent by replying “stop” since 11 April 2025.

US forms carry a clear, seller-named consent line for calls and texts, even where the law asks less.

Ad platforms

Every lead form needs a privacy policy

Meta, Google and TikTok all require a privacy policy link on their lead forms. Google does not allow lead forms for lead resellers at all.

No policy, no form

Gmail and Yahoo filter bulk senders

The honest part: a cheap lead is not the same as a good one. Arya’s ₦41.30 leads were wholesale buyers signing up on a website, which costs far less than a property buyer or a B2B decision maker. Honest limits

What lead generation cannot do, and who should not hire us

We can fill your pipeline. What happens next depends on your offer, your price and how fast your team picks up the phone. You deserve to hear the limits before you pay.

Lead generation cannot

Promise an exact cost per lead, or a number of sales
Sell a product people do not want at that price
Close a lead nobody calls back
Make a bought list of strangers into customers who agreed to hear from you
Fix a sales team that does not follow up

We are probably not right for you if

You want to pay per lead and not care what happens next
You want us to buy or scrape contact lists
Nobody on your team can reply the same day
You want claims the platforms or the law would reject
You want the ad accounts and the leads in our name, not yours

How we think about marketing

For us at Greenlearners Technologies, marketing is getting the right product or service to the right person, at the right time, through the right channel, with the right message.

Questions people ask

Lead generation: your questions, answered

What is lead generation?

Lead generation is getting the right people to show interest in your business by leaving a phone number, an email, a WhatsApp message or a booking, so your team can turn that interest into a sale. A lead is not a customer yet. It is permission to start a conversation. Good lead generation brings more of the right people, asks the questions that separate buyers from browsers, and makes sure every lead is answered fast.

What do lead generation services include?

Our lead generation services include the strategy and lead numbers, an offer worth leaving details for, landing pages and instant forms, lead ads on Meta, Google, TikTok and LinkedIn, tracking from each lead back to its ad, lead alerts and a reply routine, WhatsApp and email follow-up, CRM setup, lead scoring and weekly reporting. Which of these you get depends on the plan you choose.

How is a lead generation agency different from a normal marketing agency?

A marketing agency is often judged on reach, clicks or followers. A lead generation agency should be judged on qualified leads and, in the end, customers. That means it has to care about what happens after the click: the form, the questions, the reply speed, the follow-up and the CRM. We report cost per lead, cost per qualified lead and cost per customer every week, and the last two are the ones we work to lower.

How much does lead generation cost?

There are two costs: your ad budget, paid to the platforms, and the agency fee. Agency fees around the world range from about $2,000 to $25,000 a month for B2B outbound retainers, and $200 to $600 per booked appointment, according to the pricing guides of agencies such as Belkins. Our plans start at ₦650,000 or $800 for a one-off setup and ₦600,000 or $1,200 a month for ongoing management, or 20% of ad spend if that is higher. See our lead generation pricing.

What is a good cost per lead?

One that leaves you a profit after the sale. Multiply what one sale is worth by your profit margin and by how many leads in 100 buy, and you have your break-even cost per lead. For reference, US medians were $66.69 per lead on Google search ads for April 2025 to March 2026, and $27.66 on Facebook lead campaigns for April 2024 to June 2025, according to WordStream. No reliable benchmark exists for Nigeria or the UK. Our lead budget planner works out your break-even for you.

How much does a lead cost in Nigeria?

We found no published cost per lead benchmark for Nigeria with a clear method, so we will not quote one. In our own work it has ranged widely: Arya Marketplace paid ₦41.30 per website lead in July 2026, and Study With FM paid ₦337.22 per instant-form lead for student recruitment. A property or B2B lead usually costs far more. Your real number shows up in the first week of testing.

Do you charge per lead?

No. Pay-per-lead pricing pays the agency for volume, so it quietly rewards cheap, junk leads. We charge a fee for the work, set out in writing before you pay anything, and we report cost per lead, cost per qualified lead and cost per customer, so you can see whether the leads are getting better, not just more.

Can you guarantee a number of leads?

No honest agency can guarantee an exact number of leads or sales, because every ad platform sells through an auction and your offer, price and follow-up matter as much as the ads. What we do commit to is every item in your plan, a test every week, and the real numbers every week. If a channel is not working, we tell you and move the budget.

How long does lead generation take to work?

Paid ads with a good offer can bring leads within days of launch, and our Launch Right plan aims to have leads landing on your phone within 2 weeks. Lowering the cost per qualified lead usually takes 4 to 12 weeks of testing. SEO, content and outbound take months to build, but keep bringing leads after the ads stop.

What is the difference between B2B and B2C lead generation?

B2C lead generation targets consumers: decisions are faster, leads come in volume and a fast reply wins, so Meta, WhatsApp and TikTok usually do the heavy lifting. B2B lead generation targets businesses: fewer leads, bigger deals, several people deciding and weeks or months to close, so Google search, LinkedIn, useful content and email follow-up matter more.

What is the difference between lead generation and demand generation?

Demand generation makes people aware of a problem and want your kind of solution. Lead generation captures the details of people who are ready to talk. You need both: Payhawk, a UK fintech, cut its cost per lead to 85% below its industry benchmark on LinkedIn by warming people up with useful content before asking for a meeting.

What is a qualified lead, and what is the difference between an MQL and an SQL?

A marketing qualified lead, or MQL, fits your buyer on paper: the right place, need and budget range. A sales qualified lead, or SQL, has spoken to your team and confirmed they want it, can pay, can decide and want it soon. We write down what counts as each with you before we start, and your team marks the leads, not us, so the numbers are honest.

How do you get quality leads instead of junk leads?

We ask 3 to 5 qualifying questions on every form, switch to higher intent forms when junk runs high, check numbers fast with a WhatsApp message or call, block bots and duplicates, exclude people already in your CRM, and send your qualified and won leads back to Meta and Google so the ads learn who your real buyers are. Then we move budget to the ads that bring customers, not the cheapest leads.

How fast should we respond to a new lead?

Within 5 minutes in working hours if you can. In a 2007 study by MIT and InsideSales.com of more than 15,000 web leads, the odds of reaching a lead were 100 times lower at 30 minutes than at 5. In a 2011 audit published in Harvard Business Review, 23% of 2,241 US companies never replied to a web enquiry at all. Try our free reply speed test to time your own team.

Can I get leads on WhatsApp?

Yes, and in Nigeria it is often the best way. WhatsApp is installed on 95% of Nigerian smartphones, according to KPMG and Orange’s 2026 smartphone study. Click-to-WhatsApp ads on Facebook and Instagram open a chat with a ready message, and the first questions in the chat can qualify the lead before a person calls. Prima AFP in Peru cut its cost per lead by 18% this way. See our WhatsApp marketing services.

Should I use instant forms or a landing page?

Instant forms on Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn bring more leads, more cheaply, because people never leave the app. Landing pages usually bring fewer, better leads and let you track more. We often start with an instant form that has good qualifying questions, then test a landing page against it and keep whichever brings cheaper customers.

Which lead generation channel is best?

It depends on how your buyers look for you. If they search for what you sell, start with Google search ads and SEO. If they do not know they need you yet, start with Meta or TikTok. If you sell to businesses, LinkedIn, Google and email matter more. Local businesses should always have a complete Google Business Profile. Our channel ratings compare eleven channels side by side.

Is it legal to buy lead lists?

It is risky almost everywhere. In Nigeria, GAID 2025 expects consent for direct marketing, and on 11 June 2026 the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered GTCO to stop unsolicited marketing to a man who was not its customer. In the UK, the soft opt-in never covers bought-in lists. In the US, marketing texts and autodialled calls need prior express written consent. We do not buy or scrape lists. Try our lead consent checker. This is general information, not legal advice.

Is cold email legal?

In the US, CAN-SPAM allows marketing email without prior consent, including to businesses, if you use honest headers, label it as an ad, include a postal address and honour opt-outs within 10 business days. In the UK, PECR allows marketing email to company addresses without consent, but not to consumers or sole traders. In Nigeria, GAID 2025 expects consent for direct marketing. Gmail and Yahoo also filter bulk senders with high spam complaints. General information, not legal advice.

Do you follow the NDPA, UK GDPR and US rules?

Yes. Every form we build links to your privacy policy, states who will contact the lead and how, and keeps a record of the consent: the date, the source and the exact wording. Consumer forms in the UK get an unticked opt-in box, and US forms get a clear consent line for calls and texts. Meta, Google and TikTok all require a privacy policy on lead forms too.

Do you do B2B lead generation?

Yes. For B2B we combine Google search ads for people already looking, LinkedIn lead gen forms and ads aimed by job title and company, useful content and lead magnets, and email follow-up. Cold email goes only to verified lists, and only where the law in that market allows it. Rentokil Initial in South Africa grew leads and sales 76% in eight months with this kind of inbound system.

Can you generate leads in the UK and the US, or for Nigerians abroad?

Yes. We run lead generation for businesses in Nigeria, across Africa, the UK and the US, and for Nigerian businesses selling to the diaspora, such as estates, schools and healthcare. Each market gets its own consent wording and rules. Our dollar, pound and euro prices are for businesses outside Africa.

Do you set up a CRM?

On Run It For Me and Own Your Market, yes: HubSpot, Zoho or the CRM you already use, with pipeline stages, lead scoring, routing to the right salesperson and alerts when a lead waits too long. On the smaller plans we log every lead in one sheet or CRM, tagged by the ad that brought it. CRM subscriptions are paid by you directly, and quoted before we start.

Do I need a website for lead generation?

Not to start. An instant form on Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn, or a click-to-WhatsApp ad, can bring leads without a website. But a simple, fast landing page usually lifts lead quality and lets you track more, and TikTok asks for an official business website before it approves an ad account. If you need one, our web development team builds it.

What do you need from me to start?

What you sell and to whom, what one customer is worth, how many leads your team can answer each week, access to your ad accounts or permission to create them in your name, a card that can pay the platforms, your privacy policy, and someone who can reply to leads quickly. We handle the rest. It all starts with one WhatsApp message.

Who owns the leads, the ad accounts and the pages?

You do, from day one. Ad accounts, pages, forms, lists and the CRM are set up in your business’s name, with our team added as a partner you can remove at any time. Your ad budget is paid to the platforms from your own card. If we stop working together, you keep everything.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Launch Right is a one-off project. Monthly plans run 30 days from the day your campaign goes live, and you can cancel with 14 days notice. There is no long contract, and everything we built stays yours.

What should I ask before hiring a lead generation company?

Ask what counts as a lead and a qualified lead, in writing. Ask what happens with junk leads, who owns the ad accounts and the data, how fast leads get a first reply, how they collect consent, what you pay when results are slow, and what you keep if you leave. Our guide to the best digital marketing agencies in Nigeria has more questions worth asking any agency, including us.
